A royal line-up in the Barrière Nations Cup

The Barrière Nations Cup at the Jumping International de La Baule – Officiel de France (June 8-11, 2023) promises great sport with the presence of some of the best teams in the world : Germany, Belgium, Brazil, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland.

It would be difficult to compose a more beautiful line-up than the one for the next Barrière Nations Cup at the Jumping International de France in La Baule. For several decades, the Nations Cup has been a great success. The 2023 edition will be no exception!

Last year’s winner, Belgium, will come to defend its title, while France, victorious for the last time in 2017 thanks to Kevin Staut (Rêveur de Hurtebise HDC), Cédric Angot (Saxo de la Cour), Roger-Yves Bost (Sangria du Coty) and Pénélope Leprévost (Flora de Mariposa), will want to renew with success. But the competition will be particularly strong with Sweden, the world and reigning Olympic champion, who will inevitably aim to win the Nations Cup in La Baule for the first time in its history. Switzerland, victorious in 2019 and 2021, the Netherlands (four victories between 1991 and 2016), Brazil (2018), Germany, which has not won here since 2007, Great Britain, whose last victory dates back to 2015, Ireland and Italy, will be at the start of the Coupe des Nations Barrière.
With ten teams of four couples at the start of the first round of the Barrière Nations Cup, each course will be decisive to ensure a place in the second round, as only the best 8 will have the chance to compete again.
The prospect of the European Championships in Milan (August 29 – September 3) will make the competition even more exciting and will allow the selectors to evaluate the couples present in order to establish their strategy for the next events.
