For more than 60 years, the editions of the International Jumping of La Baule, home to the prestigious CSIO5* of France, follow one another but are not alike. And in 2022, this will be particularly the case. A new direction and new stated goals
for the La Baule show that sees even bigger to welcome the world elite of show jumping and reconnect with its faithful public after two years of complicated years due to the health crisis. Rendez-vous from 5th to 8th May 2022 for a highly colorful International Jumping of La Baule.
The Nations Cup maintained in La Baule
For a long time French leg of the Nations Cup circuit of the International Equestrian Federation, the International Jum-ping of La Baule becomes independent in 2022. However, the Nations Cup, that contributes every year to the success and notoriety of the show, is maintained on the grass arena of the François André stadium. With a dotation of 250 000€ in 2022, the famous Nations Cup of La Baule will mark the first highlight of the event (Friday 6th May, 2.00pm) with 8 of the best teams in the world.
« The International Jumping of La Baule joins the club of legendary competitions which also offers a Nations Cup like the CHIO of Aachen (GER), as well as the CSIO5* of Rome (ITA) or Knokke (BEL). Our ambition will be to offer the best of top level sport to the best international horses and riders’s pairs. The target is to promote and develop equestrian sport to the level of the elite in presence and expectations of our partners and public. Rolex, title partner of the CSIO5* Grand Prix
Unwavering support to equestrian sports for over a century through its history, linking its image and reputation to the greatest champions of the discipline and the Grand Prix of the most mythical competitions, Rolex becomes the « Official watch » and title partner of the Grand Prix of the CSIO5* of France in 2022. The final highlight of the La Baule show will henceforth be known as « Rolex Grand Prix – City of La Baule » (Sunday 8th May, 1.00pm). With a dotation of 500 000€, there is no doubt, this event will be the scene of exceptional sporting performances.

Two levels of competition : a CSIO5* and a CSI1*
If the sports program of the 4 days of competition is currently being finalized, the International Jumping of La Baule maintains its two levels of competition : the CSIO5* that should offer 9 different classes among which the Nations Cup (Friday 6th May at 2.00pm), the Derby of the Pays de la Loire Region (Saturday 7th May at 1.00pm) and the Rolex Grand Prix – City of La Baule (Sunday 8th May ay 1.00pm), all reserved to the world’s elite. In addition to these competitions, the CSI1* will offer 8 classes among which a Grand Prix on Sunday and will welcome the professional ri-ders and horses in the making as well as experienced amateur riders.
